Even if there is no specific service campaign, it could be something as simple as a generator or sync circuit, probably not the panel itself.

Yeah, Mitsubishi ended up covering my faulty LCD panel this summer ... I thought it was toast because it was long past the 1-year warranty, but contacted the company and it turned out there was an extended warranty, two years, on that panel because it had been a problem on this model. So they paid for the repair in full. A pleasant surprise, and for once, the timing was perfect ... it was July and I had bought the TV Sept. 11 2007.
