You can also check for an aftermarket model. Mine had an aftermarket one (despite being originally a Massachusetts car - why on earth didn't they get a factory one?).
It basically was a heater / pump with coolant hoses going to and from it. I'm sure there were various places to mount it, but mine was on the passenger side, near the front of the engine compartment.
