In any case, Wally World does not have 0W-40 or 5W-40. The local auto parts stores have 5W-40 "Turbodiesel Truck" (which is in the engine now) for $7 a quart. Mobil's web site lists 0W-40 as the correct one for the '96 E300D so I will continue to search for it.
