Coincidentally, the #3 cylinder seems to destroy glow plugs, cracking or burning the tips. I reamed before I installed the last replacement, my mechanic believing it may be arcing against the side. I still think fuel spray is off, there or somewhere else.

I have suspected fuel delivery, but what does the addition of smaked at startup signal?

I guess I'll have the timing checked and the injectors.
