you should do the prep work and then take it to maaco. you just make sure everything is clean and taped up so the over-spray doesn't get everywhere. i've used them before to paint a volvo 240 and they did an okay job. i took all the trim pices off, sanded, and primmed a few areas that i went trough. it looked better than before the car went in. i taped and painted the wheel wells when i got the car back. the whole project was under $500.
