I got up there and swept the pine straw off this morning. Climbing up on the porch roof and looking at it I remembered why I like to do car work more than carpentry work
. Standing on the roof next to the windows I need to get up another 10' at least. I've got a friend coming over to take a look at it with me. I do have some pole scaffolding available and may look at setting some up on top of the roof. The joist for the porch roof boards looks to be in good condition so if I go with the scaffolding I'll put some more supports on top of it. This kind of work intimidates me pretty good.
