The EGR is a common code (5).

More detail is available using a search, but it is likely that either the vacuum hose to the EGR is leaking (EGR not functioning), or the EGR is not closing properly (stuck), or the ETR tube is plugged with carbon.

A valve failure necessitating replacement is much less likely.
