I have a trailer hitch and ball that came off of my 83 300D. It mounts with large bolts in holes drilled into the bottom of the bumper. I've never towed anything with either my 240D or 300D but the previous owner of the 300D towed a boat of some type.

The hitch is heavy duty and may be a factory item...I need to look. I don't know what type of load you could carry with this type of the mount.

This mount could be put on a car in the time to drill two holes through the bottom of the bumper and tighten up two large bolts.
