Acid works just as good if not better (and probably better) than simple green... And it's almost the exact same process.... Although with acid you only have to spray onto the wet panel (that's in the shade) and let sit for about 15 seconds, rinse and bam... no water spots! You don't even have to work it in.. Acid is that pro... Just be careful, use common sense and you're good to go... PLUS acid works WONDERS on nasty/dirty rims!! without any scrubbing!
