I know this is a rather old thread but I need to bring it back to life!

I recently (Monday) took my E320 wagon in for its 75K service interval and was told by them (an indy MB only shop) that my car did not have a cabin filtration system! BAHUMBUG, I say!...

I found them, HOWEVER, how does one endeavor to remove them?!

In pic #1 you are able to see the white filter down inside the cowling. This is on the driver's side with the screen removed (the tab that has the 'hold-down' screw has been broken at some point and simply lays in place).

Pic #2 is a straight down shot at the area.

Pic #3 is the passenger side screen still in place. I removed the hold-down screw but could NOT get it to come off! WUWT !

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
