My mom used to keep one of those electric radiators in the bathroom during the winter. It didn't get used all that much, so it didn't make an appreciable difference in her electric bill.
I have electric baseboard heat in my current place, and it is bloody expensive. I have a one bedroom and I keep it at 63-65 degrees in winter and I can still put my electric bill into the triple digits. Single-pane windows aren't helping.
