Yeah, sometimes these mistakes cost a few bucks. Nobody was hurt and you had an expensive lesson. Don't beat up on yourself about it. We ALL make mistakes. I managed to break TWO windshields in less than one month. Usually this happens when we try to do too much at once. It's a message to slow down.
