Watch? Watch? Shucks, nobody watches ballgames. No, the radio is the only way to follow the Series!

Some of those radio announcers could put you into the park. Vin Sculley, Red Barber and their ilk didn't need no "instant replay" or "Let's look at the monitors to see where the play occurred" B.S. which is all you hear on TV.

Nah, it was all about having the radio on in the background, ears perking up with a runner leading off in the fifth, conversation stopped, a collective sigh as that lead footed SOB got picked off, AGAIN, and then back to whatever you were doing.

Real commercials. Farmer John hot dogs, local insurance sponsers, Joe Snardley's Chevrolet dealership ("Your local home town dealer, where we care about you"), Ace Hardware, etc.

Geckos, Viagra and "going problems" were never mentioned and we didn't have to watch some clown climbing in and out of bathtubs sitting in the middle of nowhere.

Damn this getting old anyway!
