I have come to the same point in my life. I have a 1977 silver 450 slc with 113k miles. I had intended to install a 5 liter Ford engine in it not because the present engine is not good, (it will go from 40 to 140 mph before you can realize what you are doing) but because I am moving from a large home with a 3 car garage and a 30x30 workshop to an apartment in Austin.

I don't think it is so much the move and not being able to do the conversion as it is that this signifies a major turning point in my life that I am not happy about. I know that after all these years of running around the world and all the different types of employment I have had that after 2 weeks of living in an apartment I will be talking to myself. I will try to find a garage to rent but that could be $500 a month that I don't have.
