I went to NAPA this weekend to get a union fitting for the brake lines on my car (was replacing the front to rear lines)....told him I needed a bubble flare 3/16" Standard Metric thread union, he stares at me. I said "TO CONNECT BRAKE LINES TOGETHER"...he says "oh".....wanders away.....2 mins later comes back with a US style fitting. So I say "BUBBLE FLARE, THIS IS US STYLE".....he disappears for 5-6 mins, and gets another guy to help him.....finally comes back with what looks to be right right part. I get home, decide to check it....it is not metric thread! So I called autozone, and the guy on the phone knew what I was talking about, and I was able to pick one up from their store with 0 issues right away. Autozone wins, NAPA sucks. To be fair, Autozone gave me the wrong brake lines on their first attempt (different store and different person).

Every now and then there's a counter person that knows their stuff, but most don't....
