I too have the SRS light on (99 E430) and my inpsection is up in a few days, I checked with a local repair shop I've used in the past and they want $90 to read the SRS code. My questions are...

(i) Do I need the SRS resolved to pass an inspection?
(ii) Will I need to pay once to get the SRS code read and then again (after I address the problem) to have it reset?

Thanks,

Peter
