Not be anal, but the code means the crank sensor
circuit has an electrical fault. This includes the sensor, connectors & wiring.
Of course, without the proper tools, the easiest thing to do would be to replace it.
Unless there's a big chunk of metal clinging to it between it and crankshaft, cleaning it won't do any good.
