I wondered that at first but their website looks pretty good - it'd be a lot of effort to expend for a gag - and there are a lot of folks who want their gun handy while they sleep.
Not sure I'd want a shotgun handy though. Lot of room for trouble.
I could laugh but in August I was laid up for a few weeks with five broken ribs and was in no position to stand up to an intruder. I kept the one scary firearm I have in a shallow wooden box next to my recliner-chair/bed, at the ready. Getting out of bed is one of the hardest things with broken ribs so I rented one of those recliner chairs with the motor that will halfway stand you up.
My scary firearm is a Walther P99 with a red dot scope affixed. That is, an airgun of that model, also made by Walther, a .177 caliber pellet. I figured I could at least bluff an intruder or shoot him in the face if I had too. I had only to twist the CO2 cartridge container to puncture the cartridge and slap in it, sorta like loading a clip, and it was ready. The CO2 cartridge leaks slowly if you puncture it and don't use it all within a few days or a week.
