Thanks for your prompt reply. I must apologize for stating 300D, I meant the 1987 300E. Is there any reason why I cannot replace the 003 545 2405 fuel pump relay with the 002 545 27 05 fuel pump relay even though there is only a slight difference (pin 87H added) between them?

Is it possible that the 002 545 27 05 was used with the 1986 300E and the 003 545 2405 was a modification for 1987 300E models that will work minus some added feature?
