I did one with a press and a piece of small tubing to push the rod into. You also need a dummy rod to go in there while the pin is out or you will have a lot of parts in your hand and it is difficult to reassemble. Cut dummy rod the length of the numbers so they can be removed without falling apart.

If you are going to take it that far apart just spin the numbers to whatever you want and reassemble the original.
