So in my boondock hick town of Erie Pennsylvania we have an authorized Mercedes Benz dealer called Contemporary Motorcar. They're pretty good and have a typically large collection of Mercedes Benz cars with some Acuras that they also service and sell on the side.
Well I had ordered a part last week and it came in so I was walking in and I immediately get a glimpse of not one, but TWO 350SLs they had on the sales floor TRYING to sell
The car had 600 miles on it and the interior was perfectly fresh. The sticker on the car said that they wanted $38,000 for the car.
I ended up talking to the salesguy there about how he loves the older benzes so I showed him mine and my epic 300,000+ top score.
I go to the parts counter and grab my window sealant. As I was walking over to the payment desk I look out of the window that goes into the shop and I see this thing!
I was like, "Is that a Delorean?" (Yes it is!)
So to recap, my authorized MB dealer services not only services Acuras
and Benzs but they also work on Deloreans and other retros cars that can't be seen in this picture.
And yet they wanted 8,000$ to work on mine
I want to meet the guy who brought it in to them! He must be clothed in cash.
