the w124 evap is in the same spot as the w201. smack dab in the middle. but the evap has its own "air box" where all the air flow gets directed. the only true and tested way of getting to the evaporator on a w124 is by removing the dashboard.

you can replace a blower motor on about 45 minutes (with everything put together) on a w124.
