Anybody tried this?

Has anyone ever played with the upshift delay relay on a W126?

I have noticed how much more sporty and powerful and fun to drive my 300SE is during those first few minutes of warm-up. The delayed shift points make the car surprisingly quick and peppy, and I want to be able to turn that feature on with a switch.

It has made me wonder what possible effects it would have if I were to wire up a switch that activated that relay.... Sort of a "sport" or "normal" setting is what I envision.

Aside from the obvious effects on fuel economy, can anybody see any potential calamities resulting from trying this out?

Thanks!
