My M103 (88 300SEL) runs cool I think... even in the summer in hot stop-go traffic, it never went above 1/2 way and in the winter, it usually stays at 80°C when stopped and sometimes slightly below that if I am going above 40mph and the outside temp is below 55°.

Not sure if this is normal or not either, but I would rather it run cooler than hotter.
