I totally agree and have thought this since they let him go.
1 - While some may consider it a feather in one's cap to actually capture him, what good will capturing the Boogie Man actually be ? With him incarcerated and/or whatever, an administration form either side of the aisle would no longer be able to justify what we doing for much longer. The Boogie Man is more effective on the loose.
2 - "He" would be more "lethal" so to speak, as a martyr than a 6ft 5 Saudi hiding in the hills of any "istan". We've lived under the "threat" of terrorism for the last 8 years. Imagine the fuel-to-the-fire capturing, imprisoning or executing him would be to his followers...
