I understand your point, but it's not entirely true. If they fund a highway project, do you see a bunch of government employees out there placing concrete? I agree that there is more overhead in government contracting than in private business, but those funds do make it back into the economy. Even government employees have to buy food, clothes, and housing from someone. I wouldn't worry to much about the younger generation, there are opportunities all over the world, including the U.S., for anyone who has a clue.
If you are just saying that you would prefer less government, I actally agree.
