I do concede that folks have health issue out of the blue, but at least as many are responsible for their own problems, and the rest of us have a duty to NOT support people who make the wrong choices over and over and over. Rewarding stupid behavior only leads us all downwards. Instead of spending all this time arguing how to pay for such stupidity, we as a nation- and congress specifically- ought to be figuring out how to punish people that make stupid decisions that hurt all of us, not reward them.
