i did it all one-handed. nah, who'm i kidding, two handed, with my dad's help. we cleaned up all the pins on the switches, removed the rubber boot and cleaned that up, the area under the bezel that holds the ashtray, the painted tranny tunnel, and edges of the center console. super easy shifter to install. i wish i'd bought a small new replacement bulb for the gear selector light while i was in there, but it's easy to remove it all again in the future. the light bulb lights up, but when installed and in the dark with the light switch turned on, it's so faint you can barely tell it's on, so it's almost irrelevant. hopefully an LED one will be much brighter
