Pop off the ball and socket end. pull back on the bellows of the rubber on the opposite end, squeeze the plastic tabs in and push it through the bracket. there is a slit in the bracket for the cable to slop through.

the rubber bellows fit into a groove on the plastic end. gently pull it back.
