In my 89' 300te, the blower fan does not cut off unless the key is turned off. ANy idea what may be the cause? It will work at low/high speeds.

Also there is an exhaust odor coming from the vents. The heater check valve has been replaced since it was thought the system might be allowing exhaust gases from the manifold.
