I've got a 2001 Jetta TDI and a 1982 240D.

Both have about 200k miles.

Lot's of VW Jetta's in my area. Very few old MB's.

When driving across the country on vacation I take the TDI. When going for a sunday drive in the summer, I take the 240D.

When at the fuel pump with the TDI, people sometimes say, "Hey! You're putting diesel in your car!"

When at the fuel pump with the 240D, people say, "What IS that...?".
