not really, the delay was the first sign in your trans on it's way out. all you can do, short of a rebuild, is drive it. when i first got my coupe, i've found that it had a reverse slip for over 40k miles!!! it finally grenaded itself when the front trans pump decided not to pump.

you should be fine. keep driving until you get the money to figure out what's going on.
