Directly below the doors and running the length of the doors is a strip of black plastic about once inch high (91 300D). It has become detached. I tried to push it back into the groove but it seems pretty loose.

Can I reattach this piece and if so how (what kind of adhesive)? Or do I need to buy a new strip?

Finally, I'm assuming this is purely cosmetic...or does it serve some useful purpose?
