I jumpered the relay by wrapping copper wire on each lead pin and connecting them. This way I could still put everything back together.

On my car, the alarm went off whenever it felt like it. I disconnected the horn, but the lights kepts flashing. This left me with a dead battery at the end of the day, and a parking lot full of people wondering if my car was possessed. Go ahead and disconnect the alarm as you planned.
