Personally, I know that the switches are to be used gently.
I can't convince the teenagers that sit in the passenger seat.

I think that conversion kit is a good idea. And after studying pictures
of the replacement switch it looks like the main pins are now metal and not plastic.

For $275 I'll have a new , durable, seat switch.
