but if you want it to work, just for kicks and giggles... my problem was solved once my mechanic figured out that my trunk light wire had worn and was shorting against the hinge. also solved the slow drain on my battery.

my alarm would just go off periodically while locked and sitting in the parking lot until a good still wind would jar the car and probably rock it enough to short the wire.

also check every door switch and hood switch.
