TURBO

for Twin Turbos I would look for a pair of IHI RHB-52. They put out an easy 185 to 225 HP at 12 PSI, that is PER TURBO. so 370 to 450 Total. expect full boost by 2200 rpm on a 300E and very good torque by 4000 rpm. This set up is easy to do utilizing the stock manifolds.

(ALL FIGURES BASED ON A STOCK '89 M103 MOTOR)

I would check the endplay on that turbo, if it is fine go ahead and install it. get everything running good and find another one to rebuild and modify if youre not satisfied with the output.

Turbonectics got a bunch of tricks for those CT-26 turbos as well as my buddy Rick @ Innovative Turbo. Rick use to work at Turbonetics for years until Bob Keller sold the company. Rick was one of the originals who developed hybrid turbos.

I am currently installing a turbo on my 86 190E 8v. I am shooting for 325 HP on the stock motor. I will be using the car for road racing and will need the power reliable and consistant. I will be using a To4E/T3 hybrid tubro. Hopefully I will get it done soon so maybe we all can have a Mercedes Turbofest?
