The m110 IS very comparable to the 617 in terms of durability. If you speak to folks who worked on them back in the day you will find an almost religeous reverence for the "bulletproof" m110.
There is a fellow here in the Lafayette area who had an m110 with over 400k on it.

I have owned cars with the m110 and lots more with the 616 617.
