Only in Southern California!!!!

Old mint and well cared for W123 cars, usually diesels, are very common in the posh areas of Orange County - with their original California blue plates, especially in the rich areas and places where retired peope live, ie, areas like Laguna Woods, Laguna Beach, Lake Forest, Newport Beach, San Clemente, and so on, are so common that they are unremarkable.

The mild year round weather, and the serious car culture, helps with this plethora of such cars there.

I have made, last year alone, about 35,000 miles worth of trips, in my Mercedes, and another 10,000 miles in my wagon, last year, most of it to So Cal, and much of it, to that very area, is how come I know that very well.

In fact I bought my very own Mercedes Benz coupe at the House of Imports, an Orange County Mercedes Benz dealer as a certified used car down there by Disneyland when the car was a few years from new. I still own it today.



The man that used to own the Beverly Hills Hotel had owned it; I tracked him down and talked to him at his ofice on Wilshire Blvd and he gave me all the records he had on it, from April 1992.
