Tesla had the power issue solved decades ago. But it's not as simple as all that. There's a monopoly on power, and those that maintain it are happy to have it. Nuclear or otherwise. Hell, there's even "green" coal that emits next to nothing. Illegal to mine it. It's not to the point of figuring out what form is best, still have to get the powers that be out of the way.
