Finally got it and with a paper clip. The video did it. I saw at 1:30 ++... when he released the wire that the wire actually goes into a hole in the spring gizmo and pulls it down. So I didn't have the procedure correct after all. All along I was aiming high trying to mount a connected adjoining piece and trying to push it down. I should have known Mercedes wouldn't do something like that. Thanks again.
