I'm inclined to agree.

But now the D's are making an even bigger mess of things than the R's did in the previous 8 years, and we replaced GW with someone even more incompetent.
Have you been reading my mind?

My politics aren't left or right, but up or down. If I think my reps did a good job representing my interests and did something resembling their jobs, they get a thumbs up and my vote at election time - otherwise they get a thumbs down and I vote to replace them - regardless of what letter they have after their names on the ballot.
I'm with you up to that last part, which is why I'm a registered Republican. There are some good Republican politicians and there are some who need to be fired. There are some bad Democrat politicians and then there are some really bad Democrat politicians. The last good one I was aware of retired from politics some years ago. This way I get to vote in the primaries and support the better Republicans over the worse ones. When it comes to the general election, I will vote mostly Republican, occasionally Libertarian, but never Democrat.
