I found that as long as that support bracket is bolted up first when installing the new starter that job is much easier. Be careful not to cross thread the bolts when reinstalling.

Yeah when I changed the slave on my 240 I remember it being a little snug underneath.
Since this car isn't running to get it on ramps is there anywhere safe to put jackstands once raised ?
Another question : any way to lube the starter on the car ?
