I just changed my oil pressure sender unit....still having a problem. The pressure reading in the cluster seems erratic. sometimes it works, sometimes it jumps all the way up and then down, sometimes it seems to read ok...

I have the corroded lower wiring harness which i took care of by wrapping with tape during the headgasket repair....I just checked the wiring and it seems ok...

How can i know what the problem is? i need to see if i want to return this, or is it something else....FYI, I never had a working pressure reading since i bought the car in august ....
