Wrong, I use it on Windows 7 all the time. It depends on the browser and version of acrobat. And you can view the files manually as well.

Also, windows 7 has "XP Mode" which is essentially a virtual machine of XP, you can use it in there and install the old version of acrobat.

For my own use I loaded all of the files onto my webserver and I can browse it anywhere.
