There are modern metaphysicians who use the concept of God in their systems. Probably not a personal God in the sense that MS was referring to, yet they do discuss the notions of freedom, omnipotence, and responsibility, rejecting traditional notions of divine omnipotence. I'm thinking of Whitehead and Hartshorne. Not sure the extent to which these modern scientifically based metaphysics might be meta-mythology. They might have a component of that in them, but I think most of it is just highly abstract speculation based on what is known about the universe thru science.
