I was unsuccessfull in my attempt to reboot with the Dorman boot & funnel method. If I had thought to look at the Pick-N-Pull, a good used axle might have been an option.
Only one of my local auto-parts suppliers even stocks the Chinese axles anymore, and they aren't that cheap.
After reading about them on another thread, I opted for the CVJ rebuilts.
