Why would they want to get involved in your case? When I saw someone steal at their store, should I have turned them in and bear witness, etc, etc? Hell no.

On a side note, Best Buy had a good policy to motivate employees to watch the store. They figure out, based on sales, how much is the max loss to shrink. Go under and they cut the store a check. 60% goes to the store for security cameras, theft strips, etc, etc. 40% to be divided among the employees. Check came out to under $500 every 6 months. You bet I will try stop you if I am an employee. Today, I am NOT an employee. Well go steal for all I care.
