EHA was NOT "the culprit". Read John's posts again:
"
Anyways, the new ECU defintely improved things, but something is still amiss.
The system is actually going into closed loop now, and the voltage is switching very quickly like it should. I was able to adjust my idle CO mixture, but when you bring the rpms to 2500RPMs it slowly pegs to full rich! 6.5-7.5 volts at idle, bring and hold at 2500rpm and it incrementally pegs to 10.5-11.5V!"
"ECU was the reason I failed emissions just recently, and the EHA was the reason I almost failed two years ago!"
"My theory: My car had a reman'd Bosch FD installed sometime before I got the car. I believe that
the EHA had been previously adjusted to compensate for the old FD and they didn't re-adjust it when they installed the new FD!"
The EHA was a
factor but it wasn't the
main culprit.
It is important to be as accurate as possible as there will be other people referencing this thread for years to come.
Ps2cho, you
are bringing your 300TE to our next track day right?
