My owner's manual for my 85 says to put in 7.9 quarts.

I'm guessing for every model it is slightly different. For me I've just been putting in 2 gallons even since I hate having that tenth of a quart left over.

I have a leak at the turbo return line which I've been suffering with ever since I got the car working. Hence why I fill it up at 2 gallons. By the time I am ready to do a change at 5,000 miles the oil reads at a little bit above the low oil line.
